Critical: Must prove your work is for companies/clients OUTSIDE Ecuador. Working for Ecuador entities disqualifies you.
Proof of Remote Work (Required)
If You're a Remote Employee
- • Employment contract showing remote work arrangement
- • 3-6 months of pay stubs showing $1,380+ monthly
- • Letter from employer confirming remote work status and income
- • Company registration docs (proving company is outside Ecuador)
- • Bank statements showing salary deposits
If You're a Freelancer/Contractor
- • 3-6 months of invoices to clients (totaling $1,380+ monthly)
- • Contracts with foreign clients
- • Bank statements showing client payments
- • Tax returns or 1099 forms (for US freelancers)
- • Portfolio/website showing your work
If You Own an Online Business
- • Business registration documents
- • 3-6 months of business bank statements showing $1,380+ revenue
- • Profit & loss statements
- • Tax returns showing business income
- • Proof business serves customers outside Ecuador
General Required Documents (All Applicants)
1. Valid Passport
Valid for 6+ months, copy of bio page and entry stamp
2. Background Check
FBI check (or equivalent), apostilled, less than 6 months old, translated to Spanish
3. Other Standard Documents
- • Passport photo (white background)
- • Proof of Ecuador address
- • Completed application form
Pro Tips
- Show consistency: 3-6 months of consistent $1,380+ income is stronger than erratic amounts
- Translate everything: Contracts, invoices, pay stubs - all must be in Spanish
- Prove foreign connection: Clearly show clients/employers are outside Ecuador
